One month old today! I was taking about Perry's weight with Sean and it occurred to me that his ten percent loss is huge compared to an average baby's ten percent loss. He lost eighteen ounces at his lowest, which was eleven percent. That's three weeks of newborn gain at six ounces a week! So no wonder it's taking him time to catch up to birth weight. Just because he's big doesn't mean he gains weight proportionally faster. His tongue tie was released two weeks and three days ago and he held steady around nine five for the first week. Then he gained three and a half ounces the next week, and has been gaining about 3/4ths an ounce daily since. In the meantime he is wetting and filling diapers at a normal rate and is bright and alert. So my fretting will ebb soon, I expect. #perryweighin
