So we’ve been trying to avoid artificial colors and keep a decent amount of protein in the kids’ diets. It’s been working very well – I learned just how well today.
Faith had artificially colored cereal for breakfast, and not much milk, so lots of carbs… and this afternoon has been awful. Gilbert too.
Abby, Trixie and Bede are unaffected.
So now we know!

Ugh, sounds like no fun. I discovered during my second pregnancy that high carbs = migraine for me. Maybe Faith’s head hurt?
Knowing is half the battle, as they say! 🙂
I always notice that as well. I always dread the next few hours after they eat birthday cake. Ugh.
I notice things like this too after candy, etc. has been in the house. It was hell day after Christmas, lol!
when It’s easter or whatever and people give my kids candy I want to cry inside b/c I know it’s only moments until break downs commence for he ext several hours. My kids can’t even handle the small amount of dyes in common meds like Tylenol. we go dye free. (Eli is also allergic to milk and Eva and I, gluten)
