I know some my Friends here think the entire practice is a silly one, and some others might disagree with my particular methods, but it remains true that when I say I'm praying for you or your intentions, I am in actual fact lowering my head, making the sign of the Cross, and praying, aloud, for you. Generally you get a heartfelt Hail Mary and if it's a matter of life or death, a Memorare (that's what Sean refers to as "bringing out the big guns.") I'm not just thinking good thoughts, or sending vibes, or momentarily frowning in sympathy and moving on.Just to clear that up.
